-Inspiration-

We welcome this week's Guest Designer..

My name is Keren Tamir and I'm 36 years old. I am a wife to a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my scrapbooking hobby and a mother of two amazing kids; a 10 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. I've been scrapbooking for 7 years and I mainly scrapbook about our family. I love to create and experiment with many different mediums and techniques. I get inspiration everywhere I go. I’m constantly thinking about scrapbooking and I design my layouts in my head usually while driving. I mainly scrapbook at night when everyone is asleep because I love the inspiration you get when it’s quiet. I love my camera and I’m always taking many pictures everywhere I go. I like to read and paint in my spare time!!
What a lovely page, Keren!! Love all your threads, especially your peek-a-boo spot!
Thanks so much for joining our team this week :)

Check out Team A's beautiful projects following our challenge!

I usually add more ribbon/threads/stitching to a page ... but this time felt that less was more!  I toyed around w/ more ribbon and things ... and in the end liked the simple design much better ... This was taken at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican ... I really love this photo and have a blown up version hanging in my office ..

I love using twine, and have been using it quite a bit lately. On this page I wrapped the white mat with twine and then created the journaling spot by gluing twine in a circle pattern onto another piece of white cardstock. Very fun to do.
I love making use of my scraps and lefovers.  That's what I used to make this card. A quick way to add to a little bit of cardboard.. Wrap it with twine.

I have used wool fibres and cotton doileys along with a satin flower strip. All these add so many textures to a layout...and give plenty of dimension.
Since stitching is one of my new favorite techniques to use (you'll find it on almost every single layout i make), i was very happy to incorporate it again in this fun challenge. I accented it with a nice polka-dot ribbon and some white and gold twine. If you look closely, you'll notice that i even made use of the word 'thread' in my journaling by using a very nice quote i found online.

I decided to create a fun holiday card with a floss sewn frame. I used my Hoot-n-Holler cricut cart for the owl and sentiment, and I embossed the brown background in woodgrain.

Now it's your turn! :)

  6. Great samples! You might have to click on mine to enlarge it. The thread is in the middle of the button-a fine twine thread and a ribbon in another button.
