Good morning! Even though I'm now in "back to school mode" ~ setting up my first grade classroom for a new school year ~ I'm still hanging on to every fruity piece of summer I can.... sure watermelon and strawberries top the list, but oranges, grapefruits and tall glasses of lemonade are definite contenders! This week at the Paper Variety ~ it's all about the {{citrus}}!
~The Challenge~
Your paper project MUST be primarily green, orange, and yellow. Small amounts of neutrals is okay of course, but your project should be clearly inspired by the citrus color combination. Entries not following the challenge will be deleted.

~ The Inspiration ~
This was a fun one - I never think to scrap with these colors! I knew this color combo would work really well with this photo of my son sitting on our orange chair wearing his flannel shirt. I think the stark white background and brown outlines really helped make the colors really "pop". If you don't get the title than you might need to catch up on some episodes of "Home Improvement" hehe :)
I always love colour challenges, they make you attempt combinations that are maybe out of your comfort zone. That was the case for me wit this colour combination, but I found it excellent to work with, and am pleased with this LO which is a present to a friend. Lets' see what you can do with these colours.
This was a perfect challenge for a neutral journal for a friend who is dealing with a recent loss. I tried to make it as cheerful as possible and used misc embellies and papers. It's been a while since I altered something, to this was fun!

As soon as I saw this color combination, I thought tropical! I dug out two of my favorite pictures from our honeymoon, and made this fun little framed piece. I misted the wood letters and top two flowers, and cut the slits in the green paper with my Silhouette.
What a fun color pallet to use for this week's challenge! These Echo Park papers and embellies from the Playground collection were perfect for this picture of my granddaughter Abby from last October.
I made a six card set with fun, citrus patterned papers. The sentiment "Orange you sweet!" is perfect for thank you notes, which I always need during the school year.
There are so many possibilities for this color challenge :) We can't wait to see of the variety of projects you'll come up with!
Come join the fun for a chance to win our wonderful prize from Citrus Tree Studios!
