Design Team - Sue & Sandi

Hello there. My name is Sue. I am so excited to have been chosen to The Paper Variety's design team. TPV is such an awesome source of inspiration and Abby and Suzanne and all of the past dt members are so very talented. I look forward to making some great new scrappy friends and to being very inspired during this term.

I live in Kingston, NY with my boyfriend Stew. We have been together for almost 5 years, but have been friends for about 14 years. We live with our 4 doggies. I have 3 grown boys and he has 2 grown sons as well. We enjoy gardening and hiking with the dogs. I have been doing agility with my dog Willie and having a great time. I hope to get 2 more of the dogs involved with that too.

I have been scrapping for about 7 years. I started out very slowly. I was so intimidated by everything out there. Once I decided on the type of album I wanted to use, everything started to click. Once the kids were grown, I was able to really get into scrapping. I wish I had more time to devote to it, but I have managed to get quite a lot done. I love challenges and really enjoy trying new things. My very favorite paper line is Echo Park, but I really love most everything out there. I very much enjoy using collections, that have fonts and embellishments that coordinate.

I cannot wait to jump into working with this wonderful group of talented ladies. Here are a few of my favorite projects.

Meet Sandi

I am thrilled and excited beyond measure to be appointed to The Paper Variety's Design Team....this is my first experience on a DT and I am so looking forward to the awesome challenges here and working with so many uber-talented gals.  I feel I am way out of my league here but I love a good challenge!

I'm a fairly boring middle aged wife, mother and grandmother who likes to play with paper, pictures and go to the beach when I am not selling building materials to make a living. Although I've played many roles in my life, my favorite by far is grandmother to 2 little men and a princess in training with another mini-princess on the way. I live over 1000 miles away from my family and scrapping their pictures and experiences helps me feel connected to them.  I am married to an incredible man and my best friend and I am lucky enough to live where others pay to vacation.  Living in on the east coast of Florida my favorite collections are predictably beachy collections.  I go broke when all the new summer lines come out. Some of my favorite collections that I am currently having fun with are Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss, anything by Echo Park and although it is a year old I still love October Afternoon's Seaside Collection.

I have been scrapping officially for nearly 4 years now although I made scrapbooks when I was a teenager so I have always had a desire to creatively document my memories.  I am not sure how to describe my style...I love anything whimsical and funky and I love clean and simple cards. I love to make mini-books, seasonal wreaths for my front door and altered projects.  I get inspired by all the wonderful creations and ideas I find online and spend WAY to much time on the computer! I hope to be able to inspire others as well as continue to be inspired by all the talent and creativity here at The Paper Variety.  Life is GOOD!
