New Challenge Week!

Welcome to week 55 at The Paper Variety!
Let's get started! :)

For many of us, the weather is getting much much cooler.
Pretty soon we'll all have to dig out our sweaters and coats
(if you haven't already!).
But this week, we're going to go back and relax with
the ocean and anything nautical.

-Sponsor-
We're so happy to welcome back one of our great past sponsors!

-Prize-
WeSCRAP has kindly donated this gorgeous kit for our lucky challenge winner!

-Inspiration-
Check out Team A's beautiful projects following our challenge!

Echo Park's Splash collection was THE collection to have this Summer.  It was perfect for this double-page layout that I made of my friend Nathalie and her little boy Tristan during a day at the beach.  I wanted to make this layout fun and colorful, perfect for a child's first dip in the ocean!

Echo Park's Splash collections is so much fun to use for summery layouts. The photo I used for this layout is of my nephews on vacation in Florida, where their mother and I grew up.
I love vintage clip art so I wanted to make a card to fit this weeks challenge.  The background paper here is made with alcohol inks and water.  There will be an explanation on how to do this on my blog.

Abby
I created this card for someone special who I miss terribly. I used a bit of EP "Splash" and also my Paper Smooches "Surf & Turf" stamp set :)

Now it's your turn! :)
