Good evening! I hope you had a nice weekend. It was hot, hot, hot here on the East Coast. But we had a wonderful weekend with friends celebrating life's milestones - an engagement party and a baby shower. Lots of pictures for me to scrapbook :)
It's Sunday! Which at The Paper Variety means time to spotlight one of our entries and announce an upcoming guest designer (choose from those who share their projects on our Facebook).
Our challenge this week was to create a paper project using this photo as inspiration:
Isn't that so sweet?! Use a reading theme, black/white stripes, a pop of color, one person shared a layout that used the same black rimmed glasses. Harry Potter anyone?!?!
Our prize is worth playing for! The Beatrice collection from Nikki Sivils !!
First up, I want to share a layout that caught my eye this week:
Isn't this the cutest?! I love how Carmelita used a photo of her nephew reading. The school embellies are perfect! And she even incorporated the black/white stripe on the left hand side of her layout, with pops of color at the bottom.
Here is a special blinky to display on your blog :)
* See the sidebar for code *
Next, I want to announce our next guest designer!
This person has faithfully followed The Paper Variety and entered nearly every challenge! I was so happy to see her layout on Facebook wall.
I just love how Wendy also incorporated the reading them. Being a first grade teacher, you know I have a special place in my heart for Dr. Seuss ;)
Please email us at thepapervariety@gmail.com so we can get your assignment to you!
You still have until Tuesday at noon to enter this week's challenge.
SEE THIS POST for all the details.
Have a great week!
-Suzanne
