It's Summer!! :)

Before we get to this week's challenge, I'd just like to take a moment to mention a couple things.

This week and next will be the last for our current design team. :( Suzanne and I are going to miss these incredibly talented artists being on the TPV team. The past 6 months with these 12 ladies have been both fun and a learning experience. We've shared so many styles and techniques and we've met some truly great people. Please be sure to visit their blogs and join Suzanne and I as we wish them all the best with their future endeavors.
Our current design team call ends this Friday at midnight. Those who we've chosen for the next DT term will be contacted on Monday the 27th. We're seeking a variety of paper crafters; beginners and longtime crafters, simple scrappers and elaborate. We've received many apps already - thank you so much - but we'd love to get more. We love getting mail! lol See here for all the details! Give TPV a try :)

~Challenge~
It's official! Summer has begun!!
Woohoo!
Most of us have already started our summer activities - vacations, swimming, BBQs, amusement parks, backyard sprinklers, summer camp, lemonade stands, yard sales, the beach etc. Surely you all have some great summer fun pictures just waiting to be scrapped! Or maybe you need to make some invites for your weekend BBQ? This week's challenge is all about SUMMER and what we love to do in this super fun and hot season!

~Sponsor~

We have a NEW sponsor this week! We welcome
Please join us Friday when we share more about this great company!

~Prize~

Inspired to Scrap is kindly donating to the winner of this week's challenge your choice of ANY one of their available past kits! You can choose a kit from a few months back, or the current May/June kit! The winner will ALSO receive a FREE class! You can choose their class going on right now, or wait until their August class - your choice! What a fabulous prize!

~Inspiration~
Check out these AWESOME summer examples from our Design Team. These are the last projects from Team A, so please hop on over to their blogs and leave them some love and well wishes. :)

For the summer challenge, I knew I would use beach pictures. We spend so much time at the beach it is like our second home. This layout features my great niece and nephew, along with my grandson Dax building a sandcastle.

More than a collection of photos ranging from June to August, summer represents fun activities like travel, vacation, pool and going to the beach. Here, I am sharing some photos of my son playing at the beach's sand.

There's no shortness of "SUMMER" pictures now that the sun is out in full force here in Virginia! These pics are from my sons recent Field Day. I drew inspiration for this project from a layout on another blog. Visit my blog to see the original and how I made this layout my own!

This is a picture my hubby took of me at the beach a couple of years ago. I thought it was a really great shot and wanted to be sure to scrap it since I don't scrap very many pictures of myself. I'm hoping to do more though, and since I really love how the page turned out, maybe it'll inspire me! ;)

For the SUMMER challenge, this is my favorite photos of my daughter this was taken last Summer when she got her first Cowboys (I should get The Pats next time! lol) helmet and pants (without the jersey!) we got them on sale at the fundraising at her school, she was so happy and as soon as we got home she can't wait to try them on and play with her tiny softee plush football :)

My son is type1 diabetic and went to diabetes camp last summer, his first camping experience and first time away from home. I was miserable at home missing him but he loved every minute! I used the October Afternoon "Campfire" collection :)

Now it's your turn!
Join us by creating a paper project with a summer theme and enter it below :) Submit your entry before Sunday evening for a chance at our weekly Spotlight! Submit your entry by noon on Tuesday to be in the random drawing for the fantastic prize from

Have a great week! :)
