Good morning!! Welcome to another fun challenge at The Paper Variety!
First off, off we have a special announcement:
we will be having a design team call now through June 24th for our next 6 month term! Wahoo! Although we LOVE our design team (they rock, let's face it) we're all about variety here -- in our challenges, projects, sponsors, prizes, and inspiration we provide! :) All paper crafters welcome! See THIS POST for all of the details. We hope to hear from YOU!
It's been HOT HOT HOT here on the East coast and with only 6 days left of school (who's counting?!), I know summer is right around the corner. This weekend we indulged in watermelon, lemonade, and even freshly picked strawberries while vacationing at the beach.
Which brings me to our next challenge!
Have you seen the newest kit from Artful Delight?! You can win the June kit right here this week! It's gorgeous!
Stop back Friday for all the details on what's in this prize! Leanne really knows how to pick great papers and embellishments for TONS of projects.
Check out what Team B created for you!
Jan said, "I was inspired by the SRM "thanks a bunch" sticker sentiment for this card. I punched some circles, added a leaf die cut and twirled a piece of pipe cleaner and quickly had a bunch of grapes!"
Mindy said, "As a kid growing up I just LOVED Strawberry Shortcake! I had everything strawberry! I still love them & I made this page with some yummy embellishment I had been saving! I just love the vintage patches :) "
Patti said, "I was inspired by a strawberry to make this "home sweet home" altered frame. The strawberry journaling spot is by jillibean soup."
Tessa said, "I love this time of year because the local strawberry patches start harvesting and selling their delicious berries. Inspired by the fruit stands, I made a flower from fabric that features strawberries and paired it with a felt strawberry. "So sweet" seemed like the perfect sentiment."
Melissa
Melissa said, "Cherries are just so happy and bright, and I had these papers and elements from an older collection by October Afternoon called Cherry Hill. Perfect for this challenge! I also used an OA sketch, which worked really well with this little photo, and since my niece is so sweet, it all just fit together really nicely."
As the school year winds down, I am in need of mini thank you cards. I made this set using these 3D pear stickers and scraps from my stash. They are 3" square and perfect for adding to a gift!
We can't wait to see what fruity projects you come up with this week! One random winner will win the June 2011 kit from Artful Delight.
One entry per person please! :)
Link up before Sunday evening for a chance to be featured and before noon on Tuesday to be eligible for the prize.
