Tim Holtz alcohol inks, GlimmerMist spray, masking, paint splattering... whatever it is that tickles your textured fancy.. include it on your project this week!! If you haven't "dabbled" in inking, painting, or misting, now's your chance to get your fingers messy! You won't want to pass up the opportunity to win this week's prize.
We are DELIGHTed to welcome back Leanne from Artful Delight !!
Leanne is offering her SUMMERY! May kit to one randomly drawn entry:
Be sure to stop back Friday to re-introduce yourself to Artful Delight ;)
The fabulous Team B design team created some wonderful projects to inspire you!
Shannon says, "It's another canvas, but it has ink, mist, and paint and many layers! I challenge you to incorporate all 3! The song lyrics in case you're feeling 'em....*{Drive-By Truckers}* .....Everybody Needs Love. "
Jan said, "I made a present "topper" out of a brown paper shopping bag. I used a 12x12 Crafter's Workshop Stencil and ink for the pattern and then added some hand stitching. "
Mindy said, "I used a large stencil to create the background image. I let it dry & then chalked the edges!"
Patti said, "I used red mist and white & black paint for my "HOCKEY TOWN" lo. My family went to our first NHL game to see the Red Wings vs. the Blackhawks. If you look at the center ice at the Detroit arena, you will see a "wing" with "HOCKEY TOWN" layered on top. I copied that image onto my lo. I had a brochure from the game. From the back cover, I fussy cut out a "wing", making a stencil. I placed the stencil on top of a piece of canvas and sprayed w/red mist. I also painted the title letters w/black paint. I love how it turned out! :)"
Tessa said, "These tags are for my sisters' Mother's Day gifts. Even though only one sister is a mom, I think all women should be honored on Mother's Day :). I used mist to color vintage text paper, paint to create the little splatters and to color my frames, and ink to enhance the edges. I'll be hooking brooches to the ribbons on the tags and my sisters' gifts will be complete :)!" You must check out Tessa's blog to see close ups of these tags!
Mel said, "Ink is one of my favorite paper-crafting tools to use, so I had a great time with this challenge. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks and water to create a muted background for the bird cage image, which I embossed with VersaMark ink, and of course, I used some delectable lavender ink to stamp the greeting."
We can't wait to see what you create using mist, paint, or ink!! Get messy and link up below for a chance to win this month's Artful Delight kit!
One entry per person please! :) Link up before Sunday evening for a chance to be featured and before noon on Tuesday to be eligible for the prize.
