Are you ready for another fun challenge? This week is "Get Well Soon"!
You never know when you are going to need a comforting card or uplifting care package. Or, if you're like me you scrapbook the good with the bad - it's great therapy! And our ups (and downs) are part of life ;) Document it!
And if you play along this week, one random paper project will win this springy prize from Close To My Heart demonstrator Dana!
This is the "Sophia" kit and is filled with patterned papers, cardstock, buttons, twine and a clear stamp set! :) Perfect for a get well card!
The design team created some fabulous cards and projects! We know they will bring a smile to the faces of those who receive them.
I disagree with Shannon that "owls are old hat". I love owls too! She said the inside of her card reads "Owl be sending you lots of get well wishes."
Jan said, "I decorated a kraft gift bag to fill with tissues, cold medicine and Advil for the actual cold and then some scrappy mags and goodies for fun because we all know that is what will make us feel better!" What a great idea!
Mindy said, "I created this little pail with a repurposed flower contatiner. It's the perfect size to hold travel size toilietries to bring to someone who's staying in the hospital. I currently spent a week in the hospital with my mom, and it meant so much to her having the same items from home! Then when they are home the pail is bright cheery & useful for something else!!"
Patti said, "I altered a kraft bag and attached a small "feel better soon" tag. My inspiration for the dog house design and title came from this cute fabric dog by Prima."
Tessa said, "I thought making a card with a general sentiment like this could work for many different kinds of boo-boos." I totally agree! Always great to have a stash of these "just in case".
I'm always working on our "everyday" family album and I've been meaning to tackle this difficult subject for a while. This challenge was the motivation I needed! Our little guy has seizures, but thankfully medication has helped. Poor thing is wiped out afterwards!
I hope we've inspired you to join in creating a get well project. Your card, layout, or gift item must include paper. One entry per person, please. Link up before Sunday for a chance to have your project/blog featured and before noon on Tuesday to be entered to win this week's prize sponsored by Dana from CTMH:
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteSuzanne, I was inspired by you to do a layout and not a card. But I had already scrapped most recent "accidents, illnesses etc" so that made me look back into photo albums from when the kids were liitle and find a "boo-boo" pic. Thanks Abby and Suzanne for all the great ideas you come up with and the fabulous prizes
