Tutorial: Gift tags by Sara!

Many products come in 'collection's or kits, a group of coordinating papers and embellishments. I love this because it only aids us in making layouts that look great!  When I am using a kit I get about 3-5 good layouts and maybe a few cards out of it and then I am left with a pile of scrap paper and some random embellishments. What now?!?  Well, I have a soft spot for gift tags so lately I have been making gift tags out of my leftover kits!

Here is a recent set!

I just love this Collection, Toy Box from Crate Paper!  I really used this kit to the max but I am not ready to ditch it just yet- I have a ton of scraps left!

I took a flag die for my sizzx (or you could cut the a tag from your Cricut) and cut out the shape out of a verity of my small scraps of paper.  Then to create a nice hole for a ribbon I added an eyelet to each one, make it in to a gift tag.

Next I had FUN layering the left over scraps of paper, stickers and embellishments to create 6 unique gift tags!

Check them out!

Now, what boy would not like getting one of these tags on their birthday gift? :)

I also have created sets of these tags and given them a way as gifts. Just as people need sets of cards they also need set of gift tags!

I hope these will give you a new look at your left overs from kits! Make the most of what you have!

  5. Great idea for all those scraps. Toy Box will be one of my all-time favorites. I wish it would last forever..... like childhood.
